Manager, Financial Reporting

Department: Finance/Accounting
Location: Atlanta, GA

CUMULUS MEDIA | Atlanta, GA has an immediate opening for a Manager, Financial Reporting at our Corporate office.  The Manager, Financial Reporting will be responsible for assisting the Vice President, Financial Reporting in completing all required consolidated financial reports filed externally with the Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as the analysis of technical accounting positions and transactions over specific areas.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the Company’s Form 10-K and 10-Q including footnotes and MD&A
  • Prepare and file other SEC filings such as 8-K
  • Prepare cash flow statement
  • Assist in providing data to third-party valuation specialist regarding goodwill, tangible and intangible asset impairment analyses
  • Stock compensation calculations and analyses
  • Organize and manage the disclosure committee process on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Draft written policies and statements of position for accounting positions in accordance with GAAP and facilitate implementation of those policies across the organization
  • Provide support to internal and external auditors
  • Assist in maintaining internal control documentation
  • Assist in supporting M&A accounting transactions through review of technical accounting under U.S. GAAP, and contract compliance issues
  • Work in a professional and collaborative manner with other departments, including FP&A and Tax


  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience in either public accounting and/or industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and active CPA required
  • Superior technical, SEC reporting, analytical, communication, people and project management skills
  • Working knowledge of the Wdesk platform preferred
  • Proven knowledge, experience and success working with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Must have the ability to work with individuals at all levels
  • Highly motivated, creative, articulate and results-oriented
  • Flexible and able to operate in fast paced, changing environment
